Pricing & Shipping
Important clarification
We would all want the most we could get when selling something, but let us understand how the process works. When it comes to Electrical equipment, the following lines explain how we can come up to a mutually convenient price.
The day the equipment is shipped out from factory to the end user, it losses 20% of its value, because if any manufacturer would ever consider restocking the merchandise, they will charge a minimum of 20% restocking fee for it.
After the equipment is Installed it depreciates a t a ratio of 20% per year , for the first 2 years and 10% every year after so in three years the equipment has lost 50% of its original value.
For instance, if you purchased a system at $30,000 three years ago, now it is only worth $15,000. Or less to another end user who would be willing to purchase it. Included Within the $ 15,000 price should be freight, cost of refurbishing , testing, guarantying the equipment and the corresponding dealer’s commission.
Many times Some Electrical equipment are not sold in a daily basis so if a dealer purchases equipment for Inventory the equipment can sit in the shelf for months even years before is sold, so the Dealer has to absorb the cost involved with storing the equipment.
Ideally 50% of the price of the used unit will cover items 3 and 4
By being more specific about the age and condition of the unit a better appraised figure will result in each case.
